Gilson Load Frame, 0.02—2.0in/min, 10,000lbf is designed in cooperation with Karol-Warner to be adaptable for a wide range of laboratory soil tests. It has the highest overall strain rate of the Triaxial Load Frames, which allows use for a wider range of test methods. Digital and analog components and sets that attach to the Load Frame are available for Unconfined Compression, CBR, Soil Cement and Triaxial testing, and sold separately.
The Load Frame has 10,000lbf (44.5kN) capacity and 11.9x37.3in (302x947mm) WxH frame opening. Unit runs on a 3/4hp DC motor and the controller regulates strain rate of 0.02—2.0in/min (0.508—50.8mm/min) to ±1% of set point. This unit features a jog function that increases the speed of platen to the maximum speed of the load frame jack screw (2.0in/min), allowing for faster positioning of the 8in (203mm) diameter platen. Sturdy, powder-coated steel finish enclosure has adjusting nuts on the 1.25in (32mm) coarse-threaded rods to quickly adjust the horizontal cross-head height.
