Load Frame, 0.00001–0.29999in/min, 20,000lbf has a higher capacity and precision strain rate range of 0.00001 to 0.29999in/min (0.000254 to 7.62mm/min). It can be used in CBR and LBR testing, as well as soil-cement, unconfined compressive strength, and triaxial testing when fitted with the required test-specific Component Set, which is sold separately. A motor jog function advances the platen to 0.3in/min for faster set-up. The micro-stepping motor and drive controller allows for precise control of loading rates to ±1%. Daylight opening is 11.9x37.3in (302x947mm).

Reliable DC stepper motors are matched to the unique speed and torque requirements of each load frame and operate at 120V/50-60Hz. Horizontal cross-head heights are easily changed using adjusting nuts, and the coarse-threaded 1.25in (32mm) high-strength plated vertical rods are corrosion resistant. Its sturdy powder-coated steel finished cabinet stands up to rugged use.
