Explosion-Proof Centrifuge Extractors

Explosion-Proof Centrifuge Extractors deliver efficient and reliable quantitative determinations of bitumen content in hot-mix asphalt. All models feature rugged welded steel frames, simple and safe operation, and long service life.

The precision-machined, balanced inner aluminum bowl assembly lifts easily from the sealed housing for quick specimen handling. Rotation speeds up to 3,600rpm are set using the speed control knob, and an on/off switch with a manual hand brake to slow the rotation to a stop. The heavy-duty cast aluminum outer cover latches securely and includes an integral solvent dispensing cup.

Centrifuge Extractors are equipped with explosion-proof-rated motors and safe transformers, enclosed in a rugged welded tubular steel frame. Models are available with 1,500g or 3,000g capacity and operate on a dual-rated 115V/230V, 50Hz/60Hz motor.
