The Soil Box is used for soil resistivity lab testing to determine the average resistivity of the soil to a depth equal to the spacing between electrodes (Soil Pins). Soil Boxes can be used for 4-pin or 2-pin test methods.
Soil Box is constructed of clear plexiglass and has removable brass potential pins and stainless steel current plates. The plexiglass body has rounded corners for easy cleaning. There are four built-in leads that connect to HMA-673 Lead Wires for Soil Box.
HMA-662 interior volume of 2.7oz (80mL), the inside dimensions are 4.4x1.2x1in (112x31x25mm), WxDxH, and has a cross-sectional area of 1.18x0.94 = 1.11in² (3x2.4 = 7.2cm²).
HMA-672 interior volume of 9.1oz (270mL), the inside dimensions are 8.75x1.5x1.25in (222.25x38.1x31.75mm), WxDxH, and has a cross-sectional area of 1.57x1.26 = 1.98in² (4x3.2 = 12.8cm²). The large soil box is available individually or as an included component of the HM-940 Soil Resistivity Test Kit.
