The sieving action of Gilson SS-8R and SS-12R Tapping Sieve Shakers delivers sharp, repeatable separations quickly over a broad range of particle sizes and material types. The exclusive Gilson circular rotation is superior to inefficient back-and-forth actions that create dead spots and prevent complete separation. Particles roll in all directions while up-taps reorient and redistribute particles to present new orientations to sieve surfaces. Down-taps help near-size particles clear the mesh openings. This vertical two-way tapping operates at 48 taps per minute. These high-capacity shakers can hold as many as twenty sieves, depending on model and sieve frame dimensions. Both models feature a counter-balanced mechanism design for stable operation, along with our exclusive EZ Clamp system to secure sieve stacks for testing. The EZ Clamp knobs with integral sieve cover slide freely up and down the clamp rods with the push of a button and secure with just a twist. The assembly stays in place for fast and easy change-out of sieve stacks. The precision digital controller features push-button start and automatically resets to programmed test time for exact repeatability Tapping Sieve Shakers are powered by a 1/3hp heavy duty motor and housings are rugged painted steel.
SS-12R Gilson Tapping 12in Sieve Shaker holds up to thirteen half-height, ten intermediate height or six full-height 12in (305mm) sieves with pan. 300mm ISO sieves can also be used. 12in sieves have over twice the effective sieving area as 8in sieves. Recommended particle size range is 2in to No. 635 (50mm to 20µm). Characteristics of individual materials may affect the useful particle size range. The SS-12R is supplied with an adaptor to accept 8in (203mm) sieves or 200mm ISO sieves.
SS-8R Gilson Tapping 8in Sieve Shaker can hold up to twenty 8in (203mm) half-height sieves or ten full-height sieves with pan. Recommended particle size range is 1in to No. 635 (25mmm to 20µm). Characteristics of individual materials may affect the useful particle size range.
