Calibration weights are used to check span and linearity, and to calibrate electronic balances. Many laboratories perform their own calibration to remain in compliance with industry standards and to successfully pass external audits of their balances. Span Calibration is a popular method which utilizes one-point calibration with a single mass, approximately equal to capacity of the balance.
OBA-217 Ultra Class Calibration Weight Sets, 1g—100g are supplied in 5-2-2-1 series in accordance with ASTM E617. They are made of highly-polished stainless steel, with weight tolerances 40 to 50% tighter than ASTM Class 1. Also available with NIST or NVLAP certification. The set includes a protective foam-lined plastic case and glove.
