Fritsch Knife Mill is the ideal laboratory mill to quickly and quietly mill and mix samples. Fitted with four blades, this industrial-grade mill grinds moist, oily, fatty, dry, soft, medium-hard, and fibrous materials within seconds. Walls of the grinding vessel are designed with interfering contours that force the sample material towards the middle, ensuring efficient mixing during grinding. The result is a homogeneous sample within a narrow particle size range.
The Knife Mill has strong motor power up to 1,250 Watts and operates with specially curved knife blades that achieve up to 56,000 cutting processes per minute. Average grinding time is 30 seconds and final fineness is <300µm depending on the material. The feed quantity is up to 1,400mL and the maximum feed size of 40mm.
Change from continuous to interval operation with the push of a button or enable reverse mode for more thorough mixing without opening the mill. Motor speed is variable and can be adjusted in increments of 100 between 2,000 and 10,000rpm, plus a turbo function with 14,000rpm for up to six seconds for sticky and fibrous samples.
To ensure safety, the unit does not start until the grinding vessel and knife are inserted and the safety lock has been closed properly. A bayonet lock fastens the knife in place, and the protective hood cannot be opened while the knife is rotating. The control system prevents the user from setting a rotational speed that is too high. If motor temperature is too high, power is reduced automatically.
A 1.4L grinding vessel, a silicone lid, and standard stainless steel knives are included with the unit. Additional Grinding Vessels and Knives are available in various materials and purchased separately.

- Grinding Vessel Lid is made of silicone. Included with unit and available as replacements.
- Grinding Vessel Vario-Lid System can be attached to the grinding vessel to reduce the grinding chamber volume to 0.54L and to manually compress or loosen the sample.
