Special T-shirt for Concrete Cares at WOC

For the third consecutive year, Gilson Company is donating our Gilson Type B Concrete Air Meter with Gorilla Gauge to Concrete Cares in support of the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada. Candlelighters is an organization dedicated to helping children diagnosed with childhood cancer by providing emotional, quality of life, and financial support to the children and their families.

Concrete Cares has been at the World of Concrete annual show to raise funds for Candlelighters since 2016. In the first two years, a combined total of $47,000 was raised for children fighting cancer – with 100 percent of the funds used to help the families. This year, event organizers Mike and Donna Murray hope to raise at least $50,000 through donations, sponsorships, a raffle and a silent auction.

The Gilson Concrete Air Meter will be one of the silent auction items available to bid on at the Concrete Cares Booth in the Exhibit Hall, and this and other items can be bid on during WOC. Bidding for the silent auction ends at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on January 25, 2018.

In addition to the Silent Auction, there are many concrete-related items available in the Raffle, as well as Las Vegas-area restaurant and golf gift cards. Raffle tickets are $5 each and will be sold at the Concrete Cares booth up until the drawing is held later in the day on January 25. Raffle tickets for several items are already available for purchase online. The estimated retail value of donated items for the raffle and silent auction to date is at $30,000.

Check out the Concrete Air Meter at the Gilson Booth, N2837 in the North Hall. Not heading to the WOC? You can still support Concrete Cares and help children fighting childhood cancer by purchasing raffle tickets online.

Concrete Cares is an effort of love for the Murrays – Donna is its president and Mike, the Marketing Director – and they appreciate the support of their donors and sponsors. “We know there are a lot of charities to give to and are so thankful for all the help we get,” Mike said.

World of Concrete is January 23-26, 2018 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Information on the location of the Concrete Cares Exhibit Booth will be available onsite at WOC.
