Air Drying Ovens are useful for drying soil, aggregate, and fire-proofing samples as well as other procedures calling for air drying at room temperature. While the 105°F (41°C) maximum temperature is below 140°F (60°C) allowed for some procedures, drying is still rapid and efficient because of the high air flow of 1—4 air changes per minute.
The large 30ft³ (850L) chamber measures 35.75x22.5x64in (908x572x1,626mm), WxDxH to accommodate large drying pans. The six included shelves adjust on 2in (51mm) centers. Entering air passes over the 2,000-watt heating element to the rear plenum for distributed horizontal flow through the chamber and out the holes in the front door. Two separate 24-hour timers are included for heater and fan control, allowing for the unit to run with unheated air circulation. The solid-state temperature controller has a digital chamber display with a switch to read or set the setpoint temperature. The required power is 20 amps at 115V. Heat-up time is 30 minutes or less.
