The MF-2 242in³ (3.68L) Muffle Furnace w/Analog Controller has a maximum temperature of 2,350°F (1,287°C) and a manually operated temperature controller. The indicating pyrometer with chromelalumel thermocouple has both Centigrade and Fahrenheit graduations and is accurate to ±2% of reading. The analog percent input knob must be adjusted manually at 4 to 5-minute intervals during operation to control temperature. This model is ideal for single-point operation for ashing, ignition tests, gravimetric analyses and volatile matter determinations of soils, aggregates and cement samples. For precise automated control of temperature without manual adjustments, the MF-2A model offers microprocessor control with segmented programs. MF-2A model features a painted heavy-gauge steel case with a side-opening door. Chamber dimensions are 6x6x6.3in (152x152x159mm) WxDxH. The chamber is fitted with 2.5in (64mm) refractory firebrick and heating elements are recessed into the firebrick for easy maintenance. Rugged construction helps ensure long service life. The unit operates on 115V/60Hz/12Amps and is supplied with a power cord and plug.
