Unmounted Pads are replacements for worn or damaged 3 or 1.25in (76 or 32mm) pads for Mounted Sliders used to measure skid resistance with the Pendulum Skid Tester. Pads are made of graded rubber and attached to the slider’s aluminum backing plate.
HMA-228 3in Unmounted Pad performs best in testing for the potential of an automobile tire to skid on a road surface and meets BS7976 and EN 13036-4 standards.
HMA-229 1.25in Unmounted Pad is designed for testing polished stone and does not meet the standards indicated in HMA-228.
