8in (203mm) diameter ASTM precision electroformed test sieve has stainless steel/nickel mesh woven-wire cloth with 25µm opening size and full height stainless steel frame.

    • Answer: Yes, we can special order sieves with a more narrow tolerance. Contact us to special order.

  • Question: What is the durability of your precision electroformed sieves, how thick is the mesh material, and will they stand up to aggressive brushing?
    • Answer: Precision electroformed mesh is very fragile and delicate. The mesh is formed using electrodeposition of nickel, a durable material but not sturdy enough to hold up to aggressive brushing. These are precision instruments and should be treated carefully.  We recommend ultrasonic cleaning units such as the UB-15 for the Precision Electroformed Sieves. Use extreme caution until it is known that the system is suitable for each sieve size. Select lower energy output with frequency above 40kHz for 20 seconds or less. Sieves should be positioned vertically, and addition of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol to tank water will decrease erosion risk. Drying temperature should not exceed 100°C.
